Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

   The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is produced since 2006. It is available as a coupe. The F599 grand tourer is a successor to the Ferrari 575 Maranello.

   It's power comes from a 6.0-liter V12 engine. In fact this is a Ferrari Enzo engine, modified for everyday use. Engine develops 611 horsepower and is mated with a manual or a paddle-shift gearbox.

   The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano shares much of it's chassis with the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, but has a shorter wheelbase. The F599 comes with a Formula 1 inspired adjustable electro-magnetic shock absorbers. Thus the suspension of car can be set to suite drivers with various driving experience, moreover this supercar is always precise and stable.

   The 6.0-liter V12 engine of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano produces an ever-changing sounds, depending on throttle position and revs, but this sound always stirs the soul.    Driving position is very comfortable and has got plenty of adjustments. Steering is light for parking and an all-round visibility is surprisingly good. Visibility in particular is ensured by a front-mounted engine.

   This car was designed exceptionally as a two-seater as there is already a four-seat Ferrari 612 Scaglietti in the range. Unlike older supercars, that had cramped and noisy cabins, poor visibility, and so on, the Ferrari 599 GTB is a very civilized car. It cabin is exceptionally spacious, while two burly blokes will find themselves comfortable. Even the boot is more then large enough to take all the luggage. Smaller items can be carried inside on the rear shelf.

   The Ferrari 599 has all-round airbags, belt pre-tensioners, and traction and stability control systems as standard. Furthermore the F599's has an extremely strong passenger cell. This supercar even meets pedestrian crash protection requirements.

   Unlike the older supercars the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano offers sheer comfort and luxury. It comes with a dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery and all imaginable goodies as long as you're ready to pay for the extras.

   Advantages: F599 grand tourer not only has a 300 km/h performance, but handles well and offers good comfort.

   Disadvantages: A long waiting list on this car might put away.

   Verdict: Full throttle for five seconds and you might end up behind bars.
