Advantages: The engines are willing and promise good fuel economy; residual values are good and the cabin is as versatile, practical and spacious as the exterior is fresh and funky.

Disadvantages: Face-lifted car has a much-improved ride but is still not up to the best in the class, and the boot space is relatively limited.
